First of all, yes, I totally stole the blog name from Bob Newhart. What can I say? I only steal from the best. (I have a new reason to get to Chicago. This statue is a must see.)

This is the blog of Matt Algren. Its original intent was to share reviews of (hopefully) awesome films that should be viewed by everyone. That's still a major focus, but since publishing a couple reviews a week takes longer than I'd expected, I've decided to open it to other topics that cross my mind.

I'll try to keep it from being too very self-absorbed, I swear.

Fun facts about Matt:

• I'm musically inclined. I currently sing and act with a group of friends. We go around to churches and sing and carry on. It's a lot of fun.
• Don't call them skits.
• I haven't touched a piano in years, but I used to know how to play. Same with the saxophone.
• I wish I knew how to play guitar, but guitars are expensive, so that'll have to wait awhile.
• I abuse commas. Like, a lot.
• I'm never sure where to put the close quotation mark at the end of a sentence. I tend to put the period outside the quotation marks, but sometimes I switch it if it looks too clumsy. It's annoying, I know.
• I like lolcats, but I think some people go overboard with the l33t sometimes.
• loldogs too.
• In case you hadn't guessed, I'm in love with the whole 'zoom the picture when you click the link' thing.
• Mucking around in the code for this blog gets my inner geek all happy. (By the way, the WordPress theme that I use is derivative of Elite by Stephen Reinhardt. There's almost none of his code left, but that's where it started.)
• I take naps. Lots and lots of naps.
• One day, when I have some debt paid off, I'll go in for LASIK surgery even though the thought of it makes me queasy.
• Didn't I just say I wasn't going to be too self-absorbed? Man, I suck at this.
